CHAPTER TWO: BLOOD AND LOYALTY

After Naya’s departure, Sollen Dragoon and the newly appointed Captain Damien are assigned a mission to eliminate an infected monster in Area 1. But before they can complete their objective, a second emergency alert comes in from City 09—a Level 3 infected has been detected. Realizing that a Level 3 threat means they are facing a Strain User, Sollen insists that they immediately notify HQ and request proper support. Damien, however, refuses. Driven by his desire for vengeance, he believes they cannot afford to wait and decides they must split up to handle both threats simultaneously. Sollen reluctantly heads to Area 1 while Damien takes his squad to City 09. But Damien is only a Level 2, and he soon discovers that the enemy they have encountered is far beyond what he is prepared to face. When the Level 3 Strain User appears, Damien’s entire squad is slaughtered, leaving him as the only survivor. Now isolated and outmatched, Damien is forced into a one-on-one battle against an enemy he was never meant to face alone.
